Heart of Midlothian Football Club recognises the importance of regular physical activity and the need for a comprehensive education in young people. The Heart of Midlothian Education and Community Trust has been created to form partnerships, create initiatives and further support current practice that will assist schools, community groups and organisations that work with young people and adults in our community.

The Trust will deliver a wide range of theoretical and practical based activities within the club's catchment area and will base these in schools, sports centres, local clubs, public facilities, Tynecastle Stadium and at Heriot-Watt University. Any surplus funds received are reinvested back into the charity, or may invested in projects to provide additional benefits, resources and opportunities to the wider community.

As a charitable organisation we rely upon income from sponsorship, fundraising events and of course donations to assist in providing a broad range of activities. Detailed below are ways both individuals and companies can help us through donations.

Individuals - alternative options

Simply send a cheque or postal order made payable to 'Heart of Midlothian Education and Community Trust' to Alan White, Community Development Manager, Heart of Midlothian Education and Community Trust, Tynecastle Stadium, Gorgie Road, Edinburgh, EH11 2NL.

If you are a tax payer please indicate this by attaching a letter to your payment detailing your name, address (including your postcode), and the amount you are donating. As the Trust is a registered charity, a further 28p in every pound can be claimed by the Trust from Inland Revenue through Gift Aid. This makes no difference to the amount you contribute!
