A quick and tenacious tackler, Jason operates at right-back from where he constantly drives forward to support the attack.
He joined the Hearts Academy from Loanhead Boys Club and signed a full professional contract in July 2003. Jason then made his competitive debut in March 2005 against Caley-Thistle and the former U19 internationalist also gained valuable experience on loan to Livingston for most of season 2006-07.
Being a lifelong Hearts supporter, Jason will always go that extra mile for the team and readily signed a new three-year deal in April 2009.
At the turn of the year, Jason came back into the defence, after overcoming hamstring and back injuries.
With the arrival of Darren Barr in the summer of 2010, there is tough competition in the right-back berth.
