A physically imposing defensive midfielder, Denis joined Hearts from German outfit Tenis Borussia Berlin in 2009. The Ukranian holds a German also holds a German passport.
Denis was a driving force behind the success ejoyed by the U19s last season, scoring 14 goals from midfield, many the result of his explosive free kick technique. He was voted the U19s Players' player of the Year and won the George Nichsolson memorial award.
An injur towards the end of the season meant Dnis did not travel to Italy with the first team sqaud for pre-season training, but was involved in several pre-season fixtures.
Once fit, Denis signed a short-term loan deal with Raith Rovers, where to date he has made five appearances, scoring once.
