Hearts travel to Inverness for the second time this season looking to extend their current unbeaten run to seven matches in all competitions.

Last week's stunning ten-man comeback win over St. Mirren means the Jambos have now gone six games without defeat. The only game they failed to win in that sequence was December's goalless draw in Aberdeen.

Terry Butcher's team are on something of an unbeaten run themselves, having gone five without defeat after Wednesday night's extra time victory over Dunfermline in their William Hill Scottish Cup fourth round replay.

The Gorgie club have drawn and won the two fixtures between the teams this season. Stephen Elliott's strike back in September ensured a share of the spoils, whilst Eggert Jonsson's late header - his last goal for the club - won all three points for the JTs at Tynecastle in November. It is worth noting that Stephen Elliott has scored on his last two appearances at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium.

Hearts have not lost to the Highlanders in their last nine meetings, last suffering defeat in December 2007. Caley triumphed 3-2 with a goal in stoppage time, Graham Bayne slotting past stand-in goalkeeper Lee Wallace.

The Edinburgh side's overall record against Caley is a good one. The Maroons have eleven league wins to Inverness' 3, with seven draws between the teams.

Rudi Skacel's stunning hat-trick last week took him out on his own at the head of the Jambos' scoring charts with eight league goals.

Gregory Tade, last week's match winner at Motherwell, is top marksman for Inverness, also with eight goals.

Hearts are without skipper Marius Zaliukas, who is suspended after being sent off against St. Mirren last weekend.
