Crabbo can't wait
Former Hearts hit-man Scott Crabbe says he can't wait to pull on his boots and run down the tunnel at Tynecastle again for the Hearts Legends side.
The Legends are taking on an Erskine Select in a charity match at Tynecastle on Monday May 2nd at 1pm.
The former Jambos striker is a regular for Alan White's Legends team, and being a Hearts fan, is desperate to play at the famous old ground again.
He said: "We play most of our games away from the stadium. We play down at Spartans on the astroturf, which us old boys prefer, because we feel a bit lighter on our feet!
"It's on the second of May and I'm really looking forward to it. They're making a big day of it with the first team training before hand, and then the real team are coming on!
"We've played three or four games at the stadium and it's brilliant. I'm really looking forward to the game. It's great getting back on the surface again."
The Legends have yet to lose a match, and the desire to remain unbeaten is a major factor in why the ex-Hearts heroes enjoy these types of matches.
Scott continued: "The big thing that's kept it going is that somebody is desperate to beat us! We haven't lost yet and I love mentioning that! We've had one draw and the rest have been wins.
"The games are taken pretty seriously. The boys prefer that. There's no mucking about, the boys turn up, take it seriously, it's the old winning mentality.
"We hated getting beat when we used to play and you'll never take that out of ex-players."
Entry will be £3 for adults and £1 for children, with proceeds being split between Erskine and the Hearts Education and Community Trust.
"Crabbo" added: "The Charity and the Trust benefit - It's brilliant. It's for a great cause and all the boys that we play against love it."
