Ismael Bouzid could be fit for Saturday's friendly with Blackburn Rovers, assistant boss Billy Brown revealed today.

The Algerian was stretchered off against Millwall at the weeekend after a sickening clash of heads with the home side's Steve Morison.

It was feared the defender had suffered a fractured skull, although hospital scans dispelled those concerns, and Billy told Hearts News that the centre-half could yet complete a remarkable recovery to line up against Sam Allardyce's side.

"Ismael won't play against Wolves tomorrow night but he could make Saturday," said the Hearts No. 2.

"The injury wasn't as bad as first feared although it was a hefty whack he took. The fear of the skull fracture is gone and we'll monitor him throughout the week and see how he feels."
