Rab Currie and Bill Alves from The Heart of Midlothian Shareholder's Association (HMSA) were at Tynecastle yesterday to show their continued support of the Heart of Midlothian Education and Community Trust.

The two HMSA committee members were on hand to present a cheque for £1500 to community development manager, Alan White.

This is the third consecutive donation in as many years to the Trust from the HMSA which has previously included £525 to the AEGON Breakfast Club programme and £2500 last season towards the Hearts Music Project.

Alan White said "We are obviously delighted that the HMSA committee and members have decided to continue their support of the Trust. This donation is yet another fantastic gesture and one we are extremely grateful for.

"We will once again invest this contribution in our music project based here at Tynecastle and this will fund new equipment such as percussion packs, amps and guitars.

"Through the music project we aim to engage young people and groups in diversionary activities as well as supporting those who have a musical interest or talent."

The Heart of Midlothian Shareholders Association hosts dinner meetings on the last Thursday of every month during the football season. These dinners are held in the Gorgie Suite at Tynecastle where guest speakers are invited.

Over the years speakers have included board members, former and current players, and other interesting guests.

Raffles and other fundraising activities are held with all profits going back into Hearts as decided by the members at the AGM which is held in January. These dinners are a good way to meet the staff and players where there is an opportunity to have photos taken. At this time the association has approximtaely 400 members.
