I'll be ready - Driver
Andrew Driver today revealed that he's expecting to be fighting fit very early in the new campaign after he hailed the treatment he received in Sweden, last week.
The flying winger had a minor procedure in Stockholm which looks to have solved a knee problem which caused some discomfort last season.
Now, Andrew is aiming to bounce back to full fitness and produce a sparkling season in maroon for Hearts, one in which he hopes to earn his first full cap for Scotland.
Speaking exclusively to Hearts News, Andrew said: "It was a small operation, but it was really good to get it sorted out.
"The surgeon in Sweden was brilliant. He said the problem is actually really small, and getting it fixed should help me get back up and running pretty quickly.
"I am hoping that in four to six weeks I will be back in training, starting with the bike this week.
"Getting rid of the discomfort makes a huge difference and now I can't wait to get back into the team as I think we've got the makings of a great squad next season.
"I reckon we're going to have a good team spirit, with plenty of young Scottish boys and there will be a decent atmosphere in the dressing room."
Andrew also revealed that he's been kept fully up to date with speculation regarding his future.
It was reported that Burnley had a couple of transfer bids turned down for the player, but he reiterated that he's very happy at Hearts.
"I've spoken to Mr Romanov and the club has kept me up to date with everything and I am absolutely fine with the situation," Andrew explained.
"My complete focus is on next season, being fit and performing well.
"The fact is I've got no decision to make because until the club says it has accepted a bid and has given me permission to talk to a club I'm here at Hearts, and I am very happy to be here because it's a good club and Edinburgh is a great city."
