HNT: Ryan boost for JJ
Midfielder Ryan Stevenson is winning his fitness race for tomorrow's Clydesdale Bank Premier League clash with Hibs.
The former Ayr United star was sent for scans this week on his knee injury and was given the all-clear to step up his training.
The 25-year-old will now come under consideration for his first Edinburgh derby, which comes as a welcome boost for boss Jim Jefferies who continues to try to cope with injuries to a number of key players.
"He had a knock on his knee and although it hadn't stopped him training, it was a niggling thing," Jim told Hearts News Today.
"We sent him for a scan but nothing showed up so that has given him the confidence to push on in the training and it's something that looks like will just clear up. That's a posiitve thing for us as we need as many bodies as we can for tomorrow."
Struggling to make the derby showdown, though, is Calum Elliot, with JJ revealing the striker is still feeling the knee injury which forced his withdrawal from the clash against Motherwell last weekend.
