Fife Council joins Onside
A group of youths have becoming the first cohort of students from Fife to participate in the Heart of Midlothian Education and Community Trust's Onside programme.
Onside is a social responsibility programme developed by the Trust that aims to promote personal development, respect and positive behaviour in our communities.
Hearts community development manager Alan White said: "The Trust has delivered this programme previously with Midlothian, West Lothian, East Lothian and City of Edinburgh Council's so it is fantastic that Fife Council have also partnered with us to deliver this initiative for young people in their communities.
"This course in particular has seen the group work with our head chef during interactive cooking sessions and participate in motivational talks with former players such as Jimmy Sandison.
"Overall we have endeavoured to provide the young people with the inspiration to develop positive attitudes and to consider others in all walks of life."
Goalkeeper Marian Kello joined the group on Monday (23rd February) to present the course completion certificates, to meet parents and families and also to congratulate the group for showing commitment to the programme.
